Block Paved Driveway in Romford

Removing the Existing Driveway
The existing driveway and underlying materials were broken up, excavated and removed using specialist machinery. This allowed the team to clear the full area and establish the correct levels before installing the new driveway.
The existing lawn, established hedge and surrounding parts of the property were carefully retained throughout the work.
Preparing the Driveway
Following the excavation, the ground was prepared to create a strong and stable foundation. A layer of sharp sand was then spread and levelled across the driveway, providing an even bedding course for the new paving blocks.
Careful attention was given to the levels around the garage, front entrance, pavement and garden boundaries.
Grey Herringbone Block Paving
Grey paving blocks were laid across the main driveway in a traditional herringbone pattern. A contrasting banded border, combining charcoal and lighter grey blocks, was installed around the perimeter to frame the driveway and emphasise its sweeping curved shape.
Matching detailing was also added around the front entrance, creating a neat transition between the driveway and the property.
The completed driveway provides a spacious, durable and low-maintenance parking area. Its grey colour scheme complements the property perfectly, while the contrasting border gives the installation a distinctive and carefully finished appearance.
