Block Paved Driveway in St Albans
Stone Base Driveways recently transformed the front of this property in St Albans with a new grey block paved driveway.
The existing frontage consisted of ageing concrete paving slabs that had become tired, uneven and overgrown in places. We removed the old surface and excavated the driveway, clearing away the broken concrete and underlying material to prepare the area for its replacement.

Once the ground preparation had been completed, the new block paving was carefully installed in a traditional herringbone pattern. The main driveway combines complementary shades of grey, while a contrasting charcoal double border creates a strong, clearly defined edge around the property and pavement.
The sweeping border follows the shape of the frontage and helps the driveway sit naturally alongside the existing walls, garden and entrance. Careful cuts were also made around the doorstep, garage and boundaries to produce a neat and consistent finish.
The completed driveway has completely refreshed the appearance of the property, providing a smart, durable and practical parking area with considerably improved kerb appeal.
